If you know what you want - Why aren't you chasing after it???

If you want something in life and aren't doing anything about it...

Then what are you doing?

I just asked myself this question while looking outside from my balcony.

My Pumpkin Patch Balcony

And I had to really think about it.

"Why aren't you doing what you truly love every-day?"

And the answer is:

"Because I get so lost trying to do everything else".

I get distracted, to be honest.

I focus on making money,

Trying to do something new,

And I forget about the basics.

I forget about the one thing that frees my mind.

That thing is writing.

When I write, I can:

• Solve problems

  
  

• Unlock new opportunities

  
  

• Shift my perspective

And a whole bunch of other things.

Writing comes natural to me.

I wrote my first Christian rap song when I was 10 years old.

After that, I was hooked.

By the time I was 12, I had written an entire album.

But, I was never a fan of traditional writing styles.

I didn't care much for language arts.

I'm just now learning what a "Pronoun" is.

---

But I can think.

And I can talk to myself.

And I can write what comes to my mind.

And the beautiful thing is...

I don't have to "professionally" write to myself.

No one can tell me that I didn't write to myself "the correct way".

That would be comical. 🤣

That's why I love to write.

Writing is an art.

It's a honed skill.

Getting good takes rep after rep.

Every time your thoughts are written, a new piece of art is drawn.

The thing I'm missing is Discipline.

Discipline is being able to do something consistently.

Doing what you love won't always be easy.

So you have to make time for it.

You have to do it everyday.

When you do what you love everyday, 3 things happen:

1. You're doing what you love everyday (so you're happier).

   
   

2. You're literally DOING what you love everyday (Which means you're living your ideal life already).

   
   

3. Your daily discipline sets you up for more chances to do what you love (sowing good seeds).

   
   

Doing what you love every day will cause you to do what you love every day.

Your life will eventually become about doing what you love.

It's hard to explain right now, but keep reading each day, and as time goes on, you'll see what I'm saying clearly.

So here's the daily discipline habit I'm writing to myself (and sharing with you).

Daily Discipline Habit:

• Do 30 minutes doing of what you love everyday.

Set time in your day to do what you love.

Make time for it.

It's not going to come and make room.

You have to make room for it.

You have to clear out your busy schedule and make time for it.

It requires discipline.

So stop writing (or reading), and set a time everyday in your calendar to do something you love...

Seriously...

Get your phone and set a time for yourself.

Okay, we're back...

I set the time to "write and share" at 3:00 PM everyday.

If I'm writing now at 3:30 Ish PM, I should have time tomorrow to write at the same time.

The message of the day is:

Have the "Discipline" to do what you love today.

Life isn't going to hand you what you want.

You have to go out there and put in the work to make it happen.

The more you work, the more skill you get.

The more skill you get, the more you get what you want.
